Treatment
Treatments for schizophrenia are focused on allow people to control the symptoms and improve their performance in daily activities. This disorder requires treatment throughout the patient's life even if the symptoms have disappeared.
Psychosocial therapy guided by a psychiatrist combined with medication is recommended, in more severe cases it will be necessary to admit the patient to a mental health center.
